This beautiful show mare is 6 years old and "seems to get better each year as an aged mare". She is being trained to enter the 3 gait division for 2006. She is by

Lone Star Ritz at Big D in Dallas, TX.
She has a huge back end and a great
front end...she seems to have it all and we are excited about showing
her this year. She will be a Contender for the 2006
show season.
Lone Star Ritz is now a world champion, having won the 2004 Novice Youth and Novice Horse Class with
Brandon Urad. We all went nuts! (27 horses in that class)
Then I placed
3rd with a workout
in the
Ladies 4
Year Old Mare Class (about 40
some entries) After that Dr. Raley rode here in another big class and
placed 5th. This mare is our very own Seabiscuit...rags to riches. We bought her
at a down time in her career
and we made her
a world champion....so neat!
Jan Anderson also showed Lone Star Ritz in the NTASHA show. She won her 4 yr. old/ amateur
class and then they went on the win the Amateur Specialty Stake class.
Lone Star Ritz placed 3rd behind two VERY strong contenders, in the
Amateur Specialty Mare/Gelding class at the Jackson, MS. Show. I was
very happy with that, as this was her first show in 2005, and in the
Aged Division.
Lone Star Ritz won both the Amateur Specialty
class and Championship at The 2005 Big "D" Charity Show in Dallas.
Here are some great shots of the Lone Star Ritz Mare in the Youth
Championship class with Brandon Urad. Alas, a back shoe fell off during the
class and she did not ribbon that night.
